Spotting Fake News: Note the Difference Between these News Portals

Knowing the source of an information is one of the key steps in spotting fake news or identifying credible information.

It is therefore important that consumers of news are able to note the difference between the sources of the information they receive, especially information from online news media.

The following news websites may appear similar with regards to domain names and colour themes on the websites but they are not same:

  • myjoyonline.com is not same as www.joynewsroom.com
  • graphic.com.gh is not same as www.graphicgh.com
  • bbc.com is not related to www.bbcnewsghana.com

Also, the following websites are satirical and parody platforms:

  • newsmunews.com
  • screwlife.com
  • news7pm.com

Information from these websites are not credible  and should not be taken with any seriousness.
