On June 5, 2023, a photo of the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden Jr., wearing diapers emerged online.

In Ghana, Fact-Check Ghana sighted the photo on Twitter, shared by a user with the handle @ImAboagye.

This tweet stirred reactions and at the time of this publication generated over 100 comments, 121 retweets and 2,250 likes with a total reach of 130,000.

Using a Google reverse image search and Yandex image search, Fact-Check Ghana has verified the picture and found it to be false.

Results from the search show that even though the original photo is Mr. Biden, the photo has been edited to look like he was wearing diapers.

The original photo was taken on Thursday, June 1, 2023, when President Joe Biden tumbled after tripping over an obstacle on stage at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Biden tripped when walking back to his seat after greeting the graduates of the military academy following his commencement address. The diapers were therefore fixed at the buttocks area of the US President in the photo that captured a US Air Force officer and two members of his US Secret Service detail helping him up.

From the above evidence, it is clear that even though the original picture is of Mr. Biden, it has been doctored to look like he was wearing diapers.
