#COROFACTS: Top 10 African Countries with High Number of COVID-19 Cases

Data available from the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Africa as at midday of May 29, 2020, suggests that South Africa, Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Morocco, Ghana, Cameroon, Sudan, Guinea and Senegal are the top 10 countries in Africa with the highest confirmed cases of COVID-19.

South Africa and Egypt lead these countries with 48,196 cases, a figure which is almost twice the total number of confirmed cases in the rest of the 8 countries.

Guinea and Ghana have the lowest number of deaths among these top 10 countries as both countries have recorded less than 50 deaths.
