Claim: A news link [archive] from Ghanaweb shared by @Gen_Buhari_ claims that Otumfuo told NDC Presidential candidate, John Mahama, that it is only God who can crown a leader.

Verdict: True

Explanation: Checks on Ghanaweb show that the story was published on December 4, 2024, the day the NDC Presidential candidate visited the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Additionally, there is video evidence to support the claim that the Asantehene advised former President John Dramani Mahama to ensure that peace reigns because it’s only God who chooses leaders for nations.  “If God doesn’t make you a leader and you choose violence, you will not succeed,” Otumfuo said at 57 minutes and 30 seconds of the video.
