Yes! Ghana Education Service is Recruiting

The Ghana Education Service(GES) has confirmed that it is recruiting graduates from the Colleges of Education within the country into the teaching service. The confirmation came through a letter written by the GES dated July 17, 2020 with reference number GES/HQ/HRMD/SEC/020/014 and circulated widely in the media and on social media. The letter was signed by Mrs. Adjoa van Vicker, Director of the Human Resource Management Directorate of the Service.

The letter requests that teachers who graduated within the said years (2017 and 2018)  but did not qualify to be recruited at the time and have subsequently qualified and can therefore apply.

Verdict: ENTIRELY TRUE

Explanation: The Ghana Education Service has posted the said letter on its official Facebook page with the caption “GES RECRUITMENT: Recruitment of teachers from Colleges of Education. NOTE: Strictly for 2017 and 2018 graduates from Colleges of Education ONLY.”
