Yes, August 4 is a Public Holiday

The Government of Ghana through the Ministry of the Interior has officially declared tomorrow, August 4, 2020, as a statutory public holiday. This confirmation comes after several speculations on social media as to whether the day is a holiday.

“The general public is hereby reminded that Tuesday, August 4, 2020 which marks Founders’ Day is a statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country,” a statement  posted on the ministry’s Facebook page and signed by the Minister has said.
