The actress’s appointment has generated discussions in the media, with many questioning the veracity of the information.

Fact-Check Ghana has verified this claim and presents the findings below.

Explanation

News of actress Joselyn Dumas’ appointment received enormous media commentary. Having been published by many media houses, the news made trends across various social media platforms while dominating discussions on radio and TV entertainment shows.

Despite these widely circulated claims, Fact-check Ghana did not find any document backing this claim from the president.

When Fact-check Ghana contacted the presidency, it denied any knowledge of such an appointment.

“No such appointment has been made,” Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, told Fact-Check Ghana.

Efforts to reach Ms. Joselyn Dumas for confirmation were unsuccessful, as our calls and messages via text and WhatsApp went unanswered.
